What is a bottle keep program?
For folks that don’t know, the “bottle keep” system originated in Japan in the mid 1900s. It allows you to purchase an entire bottle of whisky, that a bar stores for your future visits. It’s a nice excuse to return and a fun way to share your favorite whisky with friends.
We’ve curated a lovely selection of whiskys to choose from, across various regions, price points and distilleries. In addition to selections from familiar brands like Hibiki and Nikka, plus house favorites like Matsui and Kanosuke, we’ve also included a few very special bottles from our private reserve.
Selections will be available for purchase between now and June 30th. We’ll have your bottles ready for you starting on July 15th.

A 10% discount on any beverages purchased at Bar Shiru. Please note, your discount may not be used in connection with any large party bookings (7+), private events or other paid events.
Access to reservations for up to 4 people, bookable at _________. Availability is subject to private or special events, as well as other Bottle Keep participant bookings.
While supplies last, Bottle Keep participants will also enjoy exclusive access to purchase pours from rotating selections of off menu items and prior Whisky Club selections.

Number of Spots Available & How to Participate
As mentioned, this program is currently available exclusively to former whisky club members. We have 24 spots available on our top shelf and will periodically refresh selections as spots become available or we expand the program.

Enjoying Your Whisky
Your bottle will be available to enjoy at Bar Shiru starting on Tuesday July 14, 2026. When you come in, simply let a staff member know your name and show them your ID. They’ll get the bottle down for you to enjoy. If you happen to come and pop your bottle open on that Tuesday, please enjoy a complimentary Tuesday whisky special on us, which is our rotating whisky of the week special.
Important Program Terms
In most cases, we will give you the bottle and wait for a signal from you to put it back on the shelf. We are not responsible for what happens while the whisky is with you at your seat. For that reason, during extremely busy times, we are happy to pour the whisky for you and keep the bottle safe behind the bar.
We trust you to enjoy your whisky responsibly, but reserve the right to politely retrieve the bottle if we are concerned about overconsumption by you or your guests.
While we will do our best to prioritize you on the waitlist, being part of the Bottle Keep Program does not guarantee you immediate entry or seating. Bottle Keeps will also be unavailable during private bookings and special events.
No refunds of any kind are available at any point after purchase. In the rare case that your bottle is destroyed or lost due to an accident by us, such as dropping the bottle, we cannot guarantee replacement of the exact bottle, but we will source a bottle of equivalent taste and value for you. In the rare case that your bottle is destroyed or lost due to a natural or manmade disaster, such as a fire or earthquake, we are not responsible for replacing the bottle. By purchase a bottle, you expressly acknowledge and agree to these risks of loss.
If you wish to enjoy your bottle as part of a mezzanine booking, the $400 bar minimum and all other terms will still apply. However, we’re happy to waive the minimum on Tuesdays.
