Join us for a listening party featuring the premiere of Blue World, a newly remastered recording by John Coltrane with his Classic Quartet. Recorded in 1964 at the famed Van Gelder Studios in New Jersey, home to many of the greatest jazz recordings of all time, this previously unreleased 37-minute session was originally made at the request of Canadian filmmaker Gilles Groulx, who had asked Coltrane to soundtrack his film Le chat dans le sac. (In the end, 10 minutes of the session appeared in the film.) This Blue World vinyl was mastered from the original analog tape.

We will have some copies of Blue World on-hand to give away at the event.
